Yoga Meets Therapy

 

Yoga Meets Therapy is an empowering and holistic program that integrates psychotherapeutic techniques and yogic practices to aide in healing multiple aspects of health, including, physical, psychological, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Yoga Meets Therapy focuses on releasing tension throughout the body and reducing undesirable emotional, behavioral, and cognitive patterns. This program utilizes movement, yoga asanas, breathwork (pranayama), meditation, cleansing techniques (kriyas), ayurvedic principles, mindfulness, and therapeutic techniques to help individuals better manage challenges and restore balance. These techniques have been scientifically shown to reduce and/or eliminate various health concerns like anxiety, depression, aggression, distress, back pain, weak muscles, unstable joints, chronic pain, migraines, and sleep disturbances. Each plan is specifically customized to meet each individual’s needs and challenges.
 

Book a Session

Step 1: 

  • Intake (45-60 minutes): Intake evaluation is held to collect detailed information regarding participants physical, emotional, and mental health, lifestyle habits, movement background and more for Therapist to accurately prepare an individually customized plan. 

*Intake required for all Yoga Meets Therapy Sessions  

Step 2 (Pick 1):

  • 1 week (One 60-minute session): Therapist and Participant meet one week later to discuss the prepared individualized plan structured to help meet needs and goals. During this session, the Therapist guides the Participant through the plan to assure understanding and appropriateness.

  • 3 weeks (One 60-minute session per week): In addition to the structure of a one-week program, Therapist will initiate a reflection and debrief to discuss how the session went after completion of session. The plan will be adjusted as needed and Therapist will be available throughout the week for support. Participants are encouraged to check-in with Therapist regularly for support, accountability, modifications, and updates. Participants will meet weekly for 3 weeks after the intake to continue receiving support and guidance with the plan provided.

 

  • 6 weeks (One 60-minute session per week): In addition to the structure of a one-week program, Therapist will initiate a reflection and debrief to discuss how the session went after completion of session. The plan will be adjusted as needed and Therapist will be available throughout the week for support. Participants are encouraged to check-in with Therapist regularly for support, accountability, modifications, and updates. Participants will meet weekly for 6 weeks after the intake to continue receiving support and guidance with the plan provided.
